Hamburger Buns (An old recipe adapted to ABM) 2/3 C. water 2/3 C. milk 2 1/2 TB sugar 1 1/2 tsp. dry yeast 2 1/2 TB melted shortening 4 c. flour (or a little less) 1 1/2 tsp. salt I soak the yeast in a small amount of water and add a little of the sugar to get the yeast started. Add all ingredients and set bread machine on DOUGH setting.
Shape dough into a rectangle & cut into 12 equal pieces. Shape into buns and let rise 'til dougled in size. Bake @ 350-375 degrees. To prevent buns from getting too dark, lay a large piece of tin foil over them when they reach the desidred darkness.
