Ultimate
Pesto
- 2 cups fresh basil
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 6 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh Italian parsley
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons walnuts
- 1 tablespoon pine nuts
- 4 to 5 cloves garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon grated orange peel
Combine the basil, cheese, olive oil, parsley, butter, walnuts,
pine nuts, garlic, pepper, nutmeg and orange peel in a food processor
container.
Process until the desired consistency.
Toss the pesto with hot cooked pasta of your choice or spread
on slices of French bread.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
