13/ cup milk

3 firm bananas, cut diagonally into 1/4-inch slices

3 tablespoons butter, softened

1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans

  • Sift 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, salt and 1/4 cup sugar into a large bowl.
  • Cut in shortening until crumbly.

  • Spread the dough evening in a greased 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • Arrange the bananas over the dough, allowing the slices to overlap.
