Sample Recipe...

Company Chicken 'N' Bread

1 large round loaf French bread (long may be substituted)
8-10 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 cup butter

2 (3 ounce) cans mushrooms, drained and sliced
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup white wine
1/2 - 1 teaspoon each of:
oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, curry powder

  • Cut off the top of the bread. Scoop out the inside.
  • Lightly brown chicken in butter about 10 minutes on each side, remove from pan.
  • Saute mushrooms; stir in wine and seasonings.
  • Place chicken inside bread and top with mushroom mixture. Place top slice of bread to close.
  • Wrap bread in foil and bake at 325 degrees F for two hours.
  • Serve 6-8
