My honey—jalapeno dressing is the only secret to making the creamiest coleslaw you’ll ever taste. It’s sweet, with just the right amount of jalapeno bite.

Serves 4

  • 1 pound shredded green cabbage (see note)

  • 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onion, white and green parts

  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots

  • FOR THE HONEY-HALAPENO DRESSING:

  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 5 teaspoons granuiated sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons seeded, minced jalapeno

  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon Angel Dust Cajun Seasoning (recipe follows)

  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper

  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne

  1. Combine the cabbage, onion, and carrots in a medium-sized bowl and set aside.

  2. To make the dressing, whisk all the ingredients together until combined.

  3. Pour dressing over the cabbage and mix thoroughlc. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until ready to serve.

Note:
Packaged coleslaw mix would work fine here as a substitute for the cabbage.
