Makes 12 servings
Dutch oven size: 12-inch

  • 1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling

  • 1 (2-layer size) spice cake mix

  • 1 (12 ounce) can Dr. Pepper or lemon-lime soda*

  1. Spoon pie filling in bottom of Dutch oven, then sprinkle dry cake mix over top. Pour soda over cake mix, trying to completely cover.

  2. Bake at 350 degrees using 10 coals on bottom and 14 on top. Bake 30—35 minutes, or until cake begins pulling away from sides.

*Do not use diet soda.
