Well, How about ALMOST from scratch?

Pasta AL Rhonda

1 package any kind of pasta you like. I like to change shapes, types and even flavors (the last one I did was basil and garlic flavored rotelle).
Next decide on a sauce, there is a ton of flavored pasta sauces in packages and also in the can now. Alfredo is classic white cheese. I like to mix "parma Rosa" with "Four Cheese" if I am using packets-Knorr brand- but they are all good. The mixture I just mentioned makes a combination red and creamy cheese sauce.
If you do meat, Some good meats to cook on the side or mix up when serving are boneless chicken breast or smoked summer sausage (you know, the kind that is cooked already? I slice it up and saute it a few minutes first)
Now the veggies-any combination of or individually: Mushrooms, Zuccini, yellow squash, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, green and red peppers, onions and garlic-I always use garlic!

Ok, decide what kind of flavor you want-Sweet, hot, cheesy, peppery, garlicy, or whatever and go from there! Cook the veggies first, when they have ten minutes left, cook the noodles and warm up the sauce (saute meat then too, either with the veggies or even before them, keeping them warm.)

All you have to do to make this from scratch is make your own noodles and find a good pasta sauce you want to try out in a cookbook (You cood grow your own veggies and raise a chicken too if you really want to!)

If you want a beginner recipe:

1 package garlic and basil pasta
1 can of Five Brothers Creamy Alfredo Sauce
5 medium zuccini and yellow squash
2 cloves garlic sliced
Fresh ground pepper
1 pkg Smoked summer suasage

slice zuccini and squash and suate in butter or olive oil adding garlic later so it doesn't get too done
cook pasta according to directions on pkg
warm up sauce
saute sausage
serve pasta, veggies on top, meat, then sauce and finish with a dash of pepper

salute!
