A friend gave me this recipe and it's good.
Mexican Meat Mixture
5# shredded beef (cooked) 1 bell pepper, chopped 2 onions, chopped 1 - 4 oz. can green chilies, chopped 2 - 7 oz. cans green salsa 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 4 tablespoons flour salt to taste beef juices (saved from cooked roast or canned)
Cook peppers, onions and chilies in meat juice. Add green chili salsa and other ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stir in beef and more juice if you have it.
Makes about 9 cups; divide into portions and freeze. |
