This is from the real old booklet that came with my Mother’s cookie press back in the 50's. It has different recipes than are in the more contemporary booklets.

For the Mirro Cookie Press – Sour Cream Cookies

Time: 10-12 min. Temp: 375 F
1 Cup shortening
1 Cup Sugar
2 Egg yolks
1/2 Cup thick sour cream
1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
4 Cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 Teaspoon soda

1. Cream the shortening and add sugar gradually and cream thoroughly
2. Add beaten egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla.
3. Gradually add flour sifted with salt and soda.
4. Fill the cookie press and bake.
