Oh, I should have read your message first, You are asking for the recipe...I actually entered it about a half hour ago, but don't see it yet. So here it is again.
This is from the real old booklet that came with my Mother’s cookie press back in the 50's. It has different recipes than are in the more contemporary booklets.
For the Mirro Cookie Press – Sandies Time: 8-10 min. Temp: 375 F 3/4 Cup shortening 1/2 Cup Confectioner’s Sugar 2 Tablespoons water 1/2 Teaspoon lemon extract 1 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 Cups sifted all-purpose flour1. Cream the shortening and add sugar gradually. 2. Add water and lemon and vanilla extracts and mix well. 3. Gradually add flour and mix well. 4. Fill the cookie press and bake. |
