This is from the real old booklet that came with my Mother’s cookie press back in the 50's. It has different recipes than are in the more contemporary booklets.

For the Mirro Cookie Press – Spritz Cookies

Time: 10-12 min. Temp: 375 F
1 Cup shortening
3/2 Cup granulated sugar
1 beaten egg
2 1/4 Cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/8 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon Almond Extract1. Cream the shortening and add sugar gradually.
2. Add the egg and beat well.
3. Gradually add sifted flour, salt and baking powder and mix well.
4. Fill the cookie press and bake.
