Thanks for this - it's been a very long time since I have tasted this delicious treat. This recipe IS indeed the Magic Pan's Cheeseballs (fritters) - and trust me..... I ate enough of them to KNOW

Sorry you think that Miracle Whip is "icky", but in fact; that is the key ingredient in the dipping sauce, and "purists" will want to use that ;)

The first batch I prepared didn't come out so well, as there was too much egg in the batter, and I did it by hand. 3 - medium eggs went to 2 extra large, and I used my electric mixer (kitchen Aid Pro). Perfect !!!

As the recipe states, keep 'em small, or you will have batter in the middle. My second batch was so good, that when you split one of these open, the batter was cooked through, but there thin strands of melted cheese in there.

Thank You for bringing back a simple pleasure in my life that I have missed so much, and thought was gone forever.
