Debbie, I just wanted to let you know what my mom did for her bathroom sink skirt. She took fabric and attached velcro to the sink base and to the fabric. This eliminated the need for elastic and you can change the fabric as you wish. She made a band the measurement of the sink base and attached it to the skirt, hiding the velcro on the backside. It looks neat and tidy, and was rather simple to do. Measure from the point of the sink base you want to start, to the floor. Add an inch for the bottom hem. Cut a strip of fabric for the band an inch longer than the measurement of your sink circumference. Fold over and stitch to the top of the skirt and then either iron on the velcro or stitch it on.
