Frozen Sunshine

Bottled lemon and lime juices just don't capture the flavor of fresh lemons and limes. But you can have fresh tasting juice all year round by freezing lemons and limes whole. That's right, just pop 'em in the freezer -- you don't even need to use a freezer bag. Simply defrost in the microwave when you're ready to use them. Whole lemons and limes freeze beautifully for months. However, the skin suffers a bit, so they're not good for zesting, but the interior juice tastes just as fresh as the day you froze them.
