CHEESY CHICKEN AND NOODLES

1 chicken
1 package wide noodles
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces Velveeta -- cubed
salt and pepper

boil chicken until done.
Remove chicken from broth. Bring to a boil.
Add noodles. Cook untill tender.
When noodles are tender add chopped chicken, salt, pepper, soup and cheese.
Cook until thickened.

ARTICHOKE CASSEROLE

4 cans artichoke hearts -- quartered
1 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup white wine

Mix all ingredients. Pour in greased casserole.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE

1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 pound powdered sugar
1 cup pecans -- chopped
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 cup coconut
1 8oz package cream cheese

Mix together cream cheese, one stick margarine and powdered sugar.
Set aside. Mix cake according to directions on box. Set aside.
Melt 1/2 stick margarine in a 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle coconut and pecans in pan.
Pour cake batter over nuts and coconut.
Dot cream cheese mixture evenly over batter.
Bake at 325-350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.

1/2 cup shredded Colby-jack cheese
1 8oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 cup pizza sauce
6 oz of pepperoni slices
1/4 cup chopped green pepper

In a oven safe baking dish spread cream cheese. Then layer pizza sauce, pepperoni and green pepper and shredded cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes. Serve with crackers.

Makes 10 rolls

1 package of imitation crabmeat
2 green onions
5 mushrooms
1 container of ricotta cheese
8 Lasagna noodles
1 cup of spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup of shredded Swiss cheese

Boil Lasagna noodles. Finely chop mushrooms, crabmeat and green onion and combine in bowl along with ricotta cheese. Mix well. Then take 1 lasagna noodle and cut in half. I then take some of the ricotta cheese and place on lasagna noodle. Roll the noodle and place in baking dish. Finish stuffing the remaining noodles and place in baking dish. Then cover lasagna rolls with spaghetti sauce and sprinkle with Swiss cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes!

1 Can Eagle Brand Milk
1 8oz Container Cool Whip
1 6oz can frozen Lemonade or Limeade (my family likes limeade best)

Mix together and pour into Graham Cracker Crust

1/3 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter
4 to 6 tart apples

Mix first 3 ingredients till crumbly. Slice apples in a baking dish. Cover with mixture. Bake at 450 for 12 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 and bake until apples are done.

1 stick margarine, melted
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. self rising flour
1 c. milk
1 can pie filling (your choice)

Melt margarine in baking dish. Combine sugar, flour, and milk. Pour over margarine. Pour fruit over mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

2 to 3 pkgs large mushrooms
1 lb. Bob Evans hot and zesty sausage
1 pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese (3c.)
1/2 to 3/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs

Wash mushrooms and remove stems. Brown sausage and add chopped stems. When thoroughly cooked, add cheese and bread crumbs. Cool and stuff into mushroom caps. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes.

1 pkg frozen spinach
1 c sour cream
1 c mayo
1 pkg Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix

Drain water from spinach--squeeze rest to get spinach dry. Add rest of ingredients and mix. Serve with pumpernickel bread.

1/2 lb. shrimp
1 pkg. (8oz) Philadelphia Cream Cheese
3 T chili sauce
1 t onion juice
1 t Worcestershire sauce
1/3 c. mayo

If using 1lb. of shrimp then 3 x's the ingredients.

Cut shrimp in fine pieces--mix rest of ingredients together. Stir in Shrimp.

Serve with crackers...enjoy

Kelly~WA (05:57:21) : TURKEY BREAST IN THE CROCKPOT

1 Turkey breast, bone-in
1 can Cranberry sauce
1 pkg Onion soup mix
1/2 cup Water

Mix sauce, soup mix and water and place in the bottom of the
crockpot.
Add turkey breast. Cook on high for 2 hours, then turn to low and cook
4-6 hours more. Remove turkey from crockpot, let stand 10 minutes.
Slice and serve with sauce.

Pork roast may also be used.
Yield: 5 Servings.

2 lb pkg frozen hashed brown potatoes (partly thawed)
2 can (10oz) cheddar cheese soup
1 can (13oz) evaporated milk, undiluted
1 can French onion rings
salt and pepper

Combine frozen vegetables, soup, milk, and half the onion rings. Pour
into greased crockpot. Add
salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook on low 8-9 hours (high 4
hours). Sprinkle remaining
onion
rings over top before serving.

Makes 4 to 6 servings

Cannellini beans should never be quick-soaked, or they will end up as
overcooked mush. Ingredients:

1 pound dried cannellini (white kidney beans) rinsed, drained, and
picked over
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 fresh sage leaves, minced, or 1/4 teaspoon crushed dried sage

salt
extra-virgin olive oil

1. In a large bowl, combine the beans and add enough cold water to
cover by
2 inches. Let stand at room temperature overnight. Drain well and
place in a
3-1/2-quart slow cooker.

2. Add the garlic, sage, and enough cold water to cover by 2 inches.

Cover and slow-cook until the beans are just tender, 6 to 7 hours on low
(200-degrees F). During the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir in the salt.

3. If necessary, drain the beans. Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature, drizzled with the olive oil.

1/2 cup water
3 to 4 pound ham, precooked
liquid smoke, optional

Pour 1/2 cup water in CROCK-POT. Wrap precooked 3 to 4 pound
ham in foil
place in CROCK POT. Cover and cook on High 1 hour, then Low 6 to
7 hours
or until ham is hot. If desired, sprinkle ham with liquid smoke before
wrapping in foil. 5 quart unit: if cooking larger ham, cook 1 hour on
High then Low 8 to 10 Hours.

1 round roast - about 4 lbs
2 cups hot vegetable broth
1/2 cup dry red wine
2 carrots chopped
1 small onion with 3 cloves inserted

Slow cook in crockpot on low, all day.
Serve with your favorite boiled veggies.

2 packages frozen spinach
1 cup sour cream
1 package Lipton dried onion soup mix

Defrost spinach. Drain off water; squeeze. Add sour cream and soup mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes..Cover top with small sprinkling of Parmesan cheese, prior to serving

12 oz. chili sauce
10 oz. grape jelly
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Put ingredients in crock pot. Mix well. Add hot dogs, meatballs, sausage or whatever kind of meat you prefer. Heat on low until meat is hot or done. (Depends on what meat you use.) Great for parties.

2 to 2 1/2 lbs. round steak
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1/4 c. water
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup

Cut steak into 5 to 6 serving size pieces. Place in crock pot. Add dry
onion soup mix, water and soup. Cover and cook for 6 to 8
hours. Excellent with mashed potatoes.

If you like lots of gravy use 2 packages soup mix and 2 cans of soup.

1 1/2 lb. stew meat, cut in bite-size pieces
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can water
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

Mix all together and bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours in a covered casserole dish. Serve over potatoes or noodles. I have also put this in the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly; let set in refrigerator 3 hours before

1 can of shrimp
1 can of shrimp soup
1 (4 oz) jar processed sharp cheese (Kraft)
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce

Cut up shrimp and mix ingredients together. Heat on low and mix occasionally. Serve with bread cubes.

2 large red onions -- about. 1 1/2 lbs
1/2 cup bread crumbs -- or Panko
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 large egg whites

Preheat the oven to 375* F. Lightly spray a baking sheet with olive oil
spray.

Peel the skin from the onions and trim the bottoms so that the onions
sit flat. Starting at the center of the top of each onion and working
around it, cut 20 to 30 slits, cutting only three-quarters into the
onion for a "flower" effect. Transfer to the baking sheet.
In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, garlic powder and paprika.
Set aside. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites lightly with a fork.
Pour the whites over the onion to cover thoroughly and then sprinkle evenly with the seasoned crumbs. Spray lightly with olive oil spray and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until the onions are lightly browned. Serve Immediately.

Donna-Gaylord,.MI (11:29:33) : CAULIFLOWER AU GRATIN

1 med head cauliflower
salt/pepper to taste
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 Cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

Break cauliflower into florets. Cook covered in a small amount of boiling salted water until tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Drain well. Place half of florets in 1 qt casserole, season with salt and pepper. Spread with 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup cheese. Top with 1 tsp sesame seeds; repeat layers. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees until cheese melts and sour cream is heated through about 10 minutes. Serves 4-6

24 Mushrooms
1 Pkg of batter mix
1 c Beer

Wash mushrooms and trim stems, but do not
completely remove all of the stem.

Heat oil in a deep fryer, such as a
"Fry-Daddy" or deep skillet with
enough oil to cover.

Use either commercial "Mushroom Batter"
mix or a mix like Bisquik for
the batter. Mix the batter according
to package directions, except use
beer as liquid instead of water or milk.

Deep-fat fry the mushrooms, until golden
brown and drain on paper towels.

2 fryers, cut up
1 cup melted butter or margarine
2 cups crushed Ritz crackers
2 Tablespoons Parmesan cheese
salt, pepper, monosodium glutamate and garlic salt to taste

Wash and dry chicken parts. Dip in melted butter then roll in mixture of remaining ingredients. Place in baking pan, skin side up. Pour over remaining butter. Bake uncovered for 1-1/2 hours at 350 or until chicken is tender. (serves: 6)

1 lb. hot sausage
1/3 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic
2 lbs. large mushrooms

Mix together the first 3 ingredients. Stuff mushrooms. Bake at 350 F for
20 minutes or until sausage is done.

Kelly~WA (11:25:52) : CINNAMON-PINEAPPLE SAUCE
(Great for dipping chicken)

2 (8 oz) cans crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 c. honey
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
Dash of Cinnamon (to taste)

Combine ingredients in 2 qt. saucepan. Cook over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and heated through, about 3 - 5 minutes.

1 can onion soup
1 cup uncooked rice
1 can beef bouillon soup
3/4 can water
1 large jar mushrooms

Mix all together and slice butter on top. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Carol,IL (11:19:47) : Crockpot Scalloped Potatoes & Ham

8 potatoes, peeled & sliced 1/2 inch thick, or chopped, however you like them
1-2 onions chopped
1 slice of ham cut up
1/2 pound Velveeta cheese cut into chunks
1/2 stick butter or margarine, cut into pieces.

I sometimes add other vegetables also, like cauliflower, broccoli, carrots.
Layer all ingredients in crockpot & cook on low for 8 hours.

3 cups hulled, sliced strawberries (about 16 oz)
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Combine all ingredients and toss to coat. Let stand for 1 hour or up to 3 hours at room temperature to bring out the juices. DELICIOUS!!!!

4 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup melted butter
4 Tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk

Mix eggs, sugar, butter, & milk; Add flour. Cook on greased griddle. Make the pancakes small. They will be thin & delicate.
Can also add a drop or 2 of vanilla for extra flavor.
These are good served rolled up, sprinkled with powdered sugar, & top with fruit. I like them with strawberries

Any kind of beef roast (rump works good)
1 packet of Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix, zesty or original
1 can of beer
Put all in crockpot & cook for 8 hours on low, or until meat is tender.

4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
1 cup of water
1 box Uncle Ben's original wild rice mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can water.

Mix all ingredients in crock pot. Cook on low 5-6 hours or until tender

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup skim milk
2 eggs, beaten
non-stick cooking spray

Beat all ingredients until smooth. Spray a 12 count muffin tin with non stick cooking spray. Pour mixture into muffin tin to 1/2 full. Bake at 425 degrees for 35-45 minutes until golden brown. This goes well with soup. Serves 12 (unless I am joining you for dinner!) :)

2 cans (16 oz) green beans
1 cup Kluski noodles
1 cup fat free Italian Parmesan salad dressing.

Drain green beans and cook noodles as directed. Mix the beans, noodles and dressing together and heat in a medium saucepan on the stove.

potatoes
1 jar cheese whiz
1 cup milk
1 onion (large)
1 can cream of celery soup
Precook sliced potatoes and layer with onion. Heat until smooth the cheese whiz, cream of celery soup and milk. Add to potatoes/onions. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until thick and brown.

1 lb hamburger, fried and drained
1 head lettuce (cut up)
1 bag corn chips
1 large bottle Catalina dressing

Mix all of the ingredients together and let set for 30-60 minutes. VERY GOOD! :)

Sabrina,.RI (10:48:13) : SHRIMP & ARTICHOKE PIZAZZ

1-3/4 cups water
4 tbsp. Butter or margarine
1 (5.2 oz) Uncle Ben’s Fast Cooking Long Grain & Wild Rice
1 pound medium shrimp, cleaned/deveined
1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
½ cup sour cream

Combine water, 2 tbsp. Butter and rice, including seasoning packets in med. Saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover tightly and simmer until all water is absorbed, about 5 minutes. While rice is cooking, saute shrimp in skillet in remaining 2 tbsp butter over medium heat until cooked through (2-1/2 – 3 mins)

Add the shrimp and artichokes to cooked rice and stir gently. Heat through. Stir in sour cream. Garnish with parsley and lemon if desired. Serves 6.

2 cups cooked chicken, cut up
1 box Pepperidge Farm Corn Meal Stuffing
1 cup sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Mix the first 3 ingredients into corn stuffing. Put a few dabs of butter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

1 cup flour
½ c. Butter or margarine
¼ c. (4 oz) cream cheese
Favorite filling

Cream all ingredients together. Chill one hour. Roll out dough on powdered sugar and a little flour. Roll out dough to 1/16th inch thick, cut into 2” squares. Fill with about ¼ tsp of your favorite filling. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 15 minutes or until light brown.

6 apples (approx.)
2 c. Bisquick
½ c. Cold water
1 egg
2 tbsp. Sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon

Chop up apples and mix with the other ingredients. Drop by tablespoon into hot grease. Brown on one side, turn over and brown on the other side. Drain on paper towels. Put sifted powdered sugar on top if desired.

Makes: About 5 cups

6 pounds mealy apples (Gravenstein, McIntosh, Rome Beauty)
1 cup apple cider
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 cups (packed) dark brown sugar

Peel and core the apples, then quarter them. Place the apples in a heavy ovenproof pot, add the cider, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook until the apples are soft, about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Press the apples, along with any liquid, through a strainer into a bowl. Return the mixture to the pot and add the cinnamon, vinegar, and brown sugar. Bake, uncovered, for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Cool to room temperature and refrigerate, covered, for up to 3 weeks.

yields about 3 cups

1 1/2 lbs. carrots
2 c. sugar
1 lemon
1 T. brandy

Wash, peel, and finely chop the carrots. Cook in the least possible water until very tender. (This step may be replaced by microwaving the carrots in a covered dish for 10 mts.)
Puree the carrots in a food processor or blender. Return the carrots to the pan and add the sugar and the juice and grated rind of the lemon, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Boil gently until the jam sets. Stir in the brandy. Ladle the jam into hot, sterilized jars. Process in boiling water for 10 mts. Remove from the bath and invert on clean towels.
NOTE: THIS JAM WILL NOT KEEP WITHOUT THE BRANDY.

Gina,.Fla (10:26:47) : Pineapple and Orange Marmalade

3 oranges, thinly sliced crosswise and seeded
1 lemon, thinly sliced crosswise and seeded
2 1 lb. cans crushed pineapple in syrup
8 cups sugar

Quarter each citrus fruit slice. In a large pot, just cover the citrus fruit barely with water. Simmer 45 mts. or until peel is soft. Add pineapple and syrup. Simmer 15 mts. Add sugar. Stir til sugar dissolves. Increase heat; boil rapidly 20 - 25 mts. or until marmalade reaches 221F.

Remove from heat. Let stand 10 mts.

Wash 12 1/2 pint jars in hot soapy water; rinse. Keep hot until needed. Prepare lids as manufacture suggests.

Stir well. Ladle hot marmalade into 1 hot jar at a time. Wipe rims with a clean cloth and attach lid. Fill and close remaining jars. Place in canner.

Process in boiling water bath for 10 mts.

Makes 13 1/2 pints.

Stew meat (any amount)
1 env. Lipton onion soup
1 can golden mushroom soup
1/2 c. red wine
1 can mushrooms, drained

Mix all together in crock pot and cook "all day" on low. Serve over rice or
noodles.

This is the impressive eye round I serve for SPECIAL OCCASIONS!! It is so very tender, full of already made gravy, very tasty and very easy to make. Simply the best!!

1 3 lb. eye of the round roast
1 can Campbell's Soup Golden Mushroom
1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Place roast on heavy aluminum foil. Empty mushroom soup over roast, sprinkle the onion soup over this. Seal the foil securely and bake 350 for 3 hours. When you open the foil, the gravy is done and the meat has the best flavor!!

Burgundy/Louisiana (10:03:03) : 5-Ingredients Cream of Broccoli Soup

1 package (1-pound) frozen broccoli
2 cans (14.5-ounce each) chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon zest
4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (1 cup)

Place broccoli and chicken broth in a nonreactive, medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, partially covered, until broccoli is tender, about 5 minutes. Puree the mixture in a blender or food processor until smooth.

Return the broccoli to the saucepan. Stir in milk and lemon zest and heat through. Ladle the hot soup into serving bowls and garnish with a generous sprinkling of cheese. Offer additional cheese to your guests, if desired.
