Peppermint Creams rec.food.recipes/Betty E. Kohler/2000
2 oz margarine or butter 2 tbsp milk 3 drops peppermint flavoring 3 drops green food coloring 1 lb powdered sugar, sifted
TO DECORATE (OPTIONAL) 4 oz melted chocolate
Place the margarine or butter, milk, flavoring and coloring in a saucepan and heat gently until the margarine or butter has melted. Do not boil. Cool slightly. Pour over powdered sugar in a bowl and mix well to form a soft ball.
Knead well on a work surface sprinkled with powdered sugar. Roll to quarter-inch thickness and cut into rounds with a plain 1 inch cutter.
Decorate with melted chocolate, if desired.
