I grew up in Albany, NY and my mom had tuna on toast regularily. I started making it when my kids were small and just today our youngest (22 yr old son) e-mailed me from college and asked how to make it. I never had a recipe for it, just made it how I remembered my mother doing it. While he was waiting for my reply he found yours on this site! Very similar, and I guess we are from the same era! My mother would be 103 if she were alive today!
