I have always liked the idea Kelly or was it Peggy gave about cookies at a wedding ... esp in December it would be good ...

I think it was that everyone brought a plate of fancy cookies and cookie bars instead of having a wedding cake -- kind of different and nice I'd make sure that those that bring them know that it is to be unique and special.

Mexican wedding cookies are a favorite here in our house.

slice whole cored apples dip in fruit fresh arrange on a tay and lay cookie cutter shaped thin cheese slice on top
use swiss cheese on sweet apples and yellow sharp on tart apples -- use some green and red apples maybe in December? A little different then traditional cheese and crakers

Pinwheel sandwhiches are nice too -- I have posted those int he past a search will find them I'm sure

The serving of the items will make all the difference -- presentation! Use glass blocks (from hardware store) to vary hight of platters -- see about renting a fountian for the punch -- usually not too pricy and a nice touch!

The love you all share in helping and wanting it to be nice will be felt and will be what is remembered!

PRESENTATION that is a key .... showing that you care.

good luck let us know how you progress ...
