The Hunger Strike Force The Hunger Strike Force (HSF) provides food for millions of hungry children and adults across the United States. Utilizing its fleet of tractor-trailers,
HSF transports millions of pounds of food, clothing, medical supplies, disaster relief and building supplies to OBI's huge network of churches and community
food pantries.
Maryland Food Bank
The Maryland Food Bank is a resource for non-profit feeding organizations that care for the needy distributing donated or unsalable products that might
otherwise be thrown away.

Helping
Second Helping, a food rescue program, collects unserved, prepared (ready-to-eat!) and perishable foods from commercial kitchens, events or local caterers and
delivers them to soup kitchens, emergency shelters and feeding programs in central Maryland.
Minnesota Food Share Minnesota FoodShare, an interfaith collaboration, achieves solutions to hunger through community action. The March 1998 Minnesota FoodShare Campaign raised
4.3 million pounds of food (2.3 million pounds, and $2 million) by resourcing and coordinating 4,800 food and cash drives in congregations, corporations,
schools, and civic organizations throughout Minnesota to benefit the 250 local foodshelves. FoodShare also is an active voice in advocating for public policies
affecting people living in poverty and hunger. In October 1997, FoodShare launched The Twin Cities Building Blocks Project to ensure that children have access
to food programs for which they are eligible.
Open Door Mission, Rochester, New York The Open Door Mission was founded in 1952 to provide spiritual and material comfort to the less fortunate. The Mission does not receive government funding
and relies entirely on donations from the community to run its programs.
Partnership for the Homeless The Partnership is recognized as one of the nation's largest service-providing agencies dealing with homelessness. Through its array of services, homeless
men, women and children are moved off the streets of New York City and into housing and employment.

SHARE
A nationwide, nonprofit organization that enables people to obtain food in an atmosphere of human dignity. Participants in SHARE, Self Help And Resource
Exchange, pay $14 in cash or food stamps to receive a monthly, supplemental food package containing about 30 pounds of groceries worth $25 to $30. Each
participant is responsible for providing two hours of volunteer service sometime during the month. SHARE operates through a network of host organizations such
as places of worship, schools, tenant groups and community centers.

businesses, delivering the rescued food to one of the more than 150 local area charities served by TBH.
