Basic ingredients are country style pork ribs ( specially cut by butcher,extra thick,) which many supermarkets carry now,sauerkraut,(I use fresh packed),carrots,(I use peeled baby carrots) and new potatoes. In a hot skillet with a small amount of oil, brown the ribs. I'm not talking about cooking them, more of a sear. Set aside. In a roasting pan,place the ribs on the bottom, and cover with sauerkraut ,potatoes and carrots mixed together.Cover. Place in oven at 225F for five hours. Serve. As you can imagine, all quantities are relative. The more ribs, the more sauerkraut. Enjoy Art
