Hi everyone, Tried the steamed dumplings yesterday for my dad's birthday. They were pretty good. However as I have a small steamer would have done better to only cook three not four. I used the dough with the egg and it has a nice golden color. It was a little bland so will add about 1/4 C sugar next time. I used Rome Beauty apples and cinnamon sugar & butter for the filling. Will try a filling with raisins and nuts next time. I think teaspoon of Maple Syrup would be excellent. I served them warm with half & half. They would be good with a rum cream sauce, maple sauce, lemon sauce or several different flavors of ice cream. I will be trying the same dumplings with other fruits and sauces. I am also going to try the boiled dumplings. Thanks to everyone for their help.
