I found two, one made as a chocolate cake with marshmallows and one on the order of an angel food cake. Hope one of these is the one you are looking for.
MARSHMALLOW CAKE
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Cream together the butter and sugar. Add eggs, flour,
cocoa and chopped nuts. Bake in oblong pan at 325 degrees for 40
minutes. Take out of oven and spread marshmallows over cake.
Topping:
1 box 4x sugar
4 Tbsp. cocoa
4 Tbsp. canned milk
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp. coffee
Mix all ingredients and spread over marshmallows.
MARSHMALLOW CAKE
2 c. sifted cake flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
6 egg whites
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Measure flour and sugar; sift together 7 times. Add
boiling water and stir to mix. Let stand overnight or until
cold. Beat in baking powder and vanilla. Add to batter
mixture, folding in well. Bake in ungreased large pan, 9 x
13-inch or tube pan, about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool like angel
food cake.
