Kit Kat:
This comes from my sister in law....very authentic:
SPAETZLE
1 1/2 C flour
3/4 water
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp salt
1 chicken bouillon cube
3 T butter
1 T chopped parsley
Combine flour, water, eggs, and salt. Beat until smooth. Add bouillon to 6 C boiling water. Using a spatula press 1/2 of the batter through large holed colander into boiling bouillon. Cook until spaetzle float to the top, remove with slotted spoon. Repeat with remaining batter.
MUSHROOM GRAVY
1 lb. sliced mushrooms
1 small onion, sliced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 C white wine
2 - 3 T flour
2 C of vegetable or chicken broth
Saute vegetables in the wine, when soft add the flour, stir with wire whisk for at least 1 minute. Add the broth, stir until thickened. Serve on spaetzle.
