I think this is THE ONE!!
It is from the Huntís tomato sauce cans of yesteryear.
HUNTíS QUICK SPAGHETTI SAUCE
1/2 lb Ground Beef
3 8oz cans Huntís Tomato Sauce
1/2 cup Water
4oz can Sliced Mushrooms, drained
2 Tbs Minced Onion Flakes
1 1/2 tsp Light Brown Sugar, firmly packed
3/4 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1/8 tsp Marjoram
SautČ the ground beef in a skillet, drain
Add remaining ingredients, heat to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stir occasionally.
Serve over hot cooked spaghetti or other pasta.
Makes 4 servings.
MEATBALLS WITH SPAGHETTI:
This one uses Tomato Paste:
2 lg Eggs, beaten
2 6oz cans Huntís Tomato Paste, or 1 12oz can
1/4 cup Onion, minced
1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
2 Tbs Parsley, minced
1 clove Garlic, minced
2 tsp Salt
1 lb Ground Beef
3/4 cup Soft Bread Crumbs
3 Tbs Wesson Oil
2 1/2 cups Hot Water
1 1/2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Basil
1 tsp Oregano
1/4 tsp Pepper
1 lb Spaghetti, cooked and drained
In a bowl mix together: The eggs, 1 Tbs Huntís tomato paste, onion, cheese, parsley, garlic and 1 tsp salt.
Add the beef and bread crumbs, mix thoroughly.
Form into 20 meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
Lightly brown in a Dutch oven, on all sides in hot oil.
Drain leaving the meatballs in the pot.
In a bowl blend the remaining Huntís tomato paste with hot water, sugar, basil, oregano, 1 tsp salt and the pepper.
Pour the sauce over the meatballs and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Uncover and simmer 10 minutes longer.
Serve over spaghetti.
Makes 6 servings.

HUNTíS SPAGHETTI SAUCE
1/2 lb Ground Beef
1/4 cup Onion, chopped
2 8oz cans Huntís Tomato Sauce
3/4 tsp Sugar.
1/2 tsp Dried Basil
1/4 tsp Dried Oregano
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder.
Brown beef with onion in medium saucepan, until no longer pink; drain.
Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, basil, oregano and garlic powder.
Simmer, covered, 10 minutes; stir occasionally.
Makes 2 cups.
