Oriental Salad Dressing

I noticed a request in one of the archives for an oriental salad dressing. Here's one I've been using for a while. I use it very sparingly on cut up iceberg lettuce - it's one of the few dressings that can make iceberg interesting.

1/4 cup olive oil
1 Tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. rice vinegar
1 tsp. any cooking wine
1 heaping tsp.(or to taste) oriental black bean sauce

Put in jar, shake well; dribble by the teaspoonful on lettuce.

For various type of diets, I find the salt can be dispensed with and artificial sweetener used instead of sugar.
