: A cute story behind this recipe, if you want it. Recipe included in a
: dessert cookbook that we did about 18 years ago, now out of print.

Back in the early 1900's, in Oklahoma, Grandmother Thompson (Grandma "T") went to the outhouse with a magazine. While in the house and reading the magazine she came across this recipe, tore out the page and kept it so she could share the dessert with her family. It has been passed down to children, grand kids, and great grand kids.

2 cups fruit, 1/2 cup butter, 3/4 cup sugar: mix and bring to boil.
Mix 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 cup milk.
Pour this over fruit mixture in baking dish. Bake until crust forms and browns. Serve with cream or ice cream. Yum, Yum, Good !!
