My two grandmothers each had one special recipe that, unfortunately, they never passed on to any of us. My German grandma made a terrific potato dumpling soup, & I've never seen a recipe for anything similar. My French grandma made a great meat pie, but the only recipes I've ever found had different seasonings than she used. Hers was more garlic than allspice. If anyone has any old family recipes resembling either of these, I'd really appreciate it--I'd like my own kids to taste my grandmas' cooking. Thanks |
