Teri:

My mother has been making this fudge recipe for as long as I can remember.
She always makes it as christmas gifts. Up until about 4 years ago I didn't
even bother until some of my friends wanted me to make some for them once
they sampled it a my house.

It is truly wonderful. It's rich, creamy and oh so easy. Hope you like
it and get many years of fond memories like my family has:

Debbie's Moms Fudge

12 1/2 ounces evaporated milk
4 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 dash of salt
2 packages chocolate chips (12 oz each). I use Trader Joes but any will work
11 ounces marshmallow cream ( 1 1/2 med jars) - Just eyeball
2 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped (Optional)

In a heavy saucepan combine milk, sugar, butter and salt. Bring to boil
stirring constantly. After this hits a rolling boil then boil for another
7 minutes (exactly - I know this sounds wierd but it's true). Turn off flame.

Add marshmallow cream and chocolate chips. Cream these until blended well.
If using nuts then add the nuts at this point.

Pour into buttered pan(s).

Let set until completely cool and set. Usually overnight.

ENJOY!!!!!!
