This recipe is used a lot here as it lasts and looks good for a few days. It's very easy and you can add whatever you like (except kiwifruit, strawberries and other things that turn to water quickly)

COOKED FRUIT SALAD

1 Large can of pineapple chucks
(Reserve liquid and make-up to two cups with orange juice)
Chopped fresh fruit...apples, pears, oranges, bananas, passionfruit, nashi,
persimmon, custard apple, etc, etc. Also add tiny marshmallows if liked.

NOW

Mix in a little of the reserved juice 2 heaped tablespoons of custard powder,
and 3 heaped tablespoons of sugar. Add rest of liquid and bring to boil (in saucepan or microwave) When liquid thickens it turns a clear yellow.
Pour over fruit and mix thoroughly. It's now ready to eat or keep in fridge for a day or two. Gussy up with cream or coconut shreds for extra pizazz.
That's all.
