Chocolate Chip Pie
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 large eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 (12 oz) package semisweet chocolate morsels
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and light brown sugar in a medium
bowl. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla; stir well. Stir in chocolate
morsels and nuts. Spoon into a greased 9 inch pieplate. Bake at
350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted in center
comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
yields one 9 -inch pie
Wonderful with vanilla or butter pecan ice cream.
