Tiramisu is soooo easy to make (no bake) and most everyone loves it(and it sounds fancy).

There are two ways: in a baking pan where you slice and scoop out
in a springform pan, if you want a little something fancier
(after all it is the governor)

Buy many packages of dried ladyfingers, i estimate 2 packs of 36 for 8-10 persons. (fresh will work too, but dont soak them in espresso - just brush well)
Have a pot of very strong coffee or espresso. Flavor with rum or brandy or
whatever. Buy heavy whipping cream (about 2 pints per 8-10 people)and a box of cream cheese to flavor. Slowly add some cream to the cheese. Combine well. Keep adding cream till the cheese is liquidy, maybe 1/2 cup. Whip the rest of the cream till you get whipped cream. Sweeten to taste with sugar. Add the cheese and combine. Now's the easy part. Dip the ladyfingers into the espresso for about five seconds each. As you dip, line a 3-4 inch deep baking pan with them. Spinkle with some powdered sugar and cocoa. Add a layer of whip cream mix. Repeatlayers, ending with whip cream. Sprinkle with cocoa and pop into the fridge. Wait overnite and taaadaaa! you are done. Slice and serve with shaved chocolate for a nice effect.

If you want to make in a springform pan, i suggest you line the pan with wax paper so you can unmold the cake.

Good luck.
