Hi,
Well, Golden syrup is similar to light corn syrup, it has a golden color and a little more "flavor" than corn syrup. In the U.K., it is used a lot, the one I am familiar with is Lyle's Golden Syrup which can be bought in the U.S. at specialty shops featuring British food, etc. You can use Golden Syrup in place of honey, molasses in equal amounts. You can substitute Golden syrup for sugar, 1 cup Golden Syrup replaces 1 1/4 C. sugar and 1/4 C. liquid. I keep meaning to see if there on the Internet for recipes, I know Cadburys has a place, ifI find one I will post it. Hope this helps,
Jill
