I had a recipe for "Calico Beans" from an Everett Amis column in the
Memphis Commercial Appeal several years ago. It had a variety of
beans, of course, but an optional meat added to make it a main dish.
You could make a small batch or a large potful to freeze for later.
Anyway, I've lost the recipe. Might someone out there have it?
