Try this: 3 egg whites 1/4 teaspoon cream tartar 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup dry flavored gelatin Heat oven 275 degrees. Line cookie sheets with paper. I large bowl beat egg whites and cream of tartar at medium speed until soft peaks. Gradually add sugar and gelatin, beating at high speed until stiff peaks form and sugar is almost dissolved. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto paper lined cookie sheets. Bake 275 for 30 minutes. Do not open door (oven!) Turn off oven and leave meringues in oven with door closed for 10 minutes. Cool and remove from paper.
