These are good either hot or cold and can be done in advance to save time.

Hot Olive Chees Puffs

About 24 medium pimento stuffed green olives
1 heaping cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup softened margarine
1/2 cup sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Drain olives and roll out onto paper towels. They should be as dry as possible. Set Aside.

Blend cheese and margarine. Stir in flour, salt and seasonings. Mix well. Dough will be stiff. Wrap a heaping teaspoonful of dough around 1 olive and roll in palms of hands. Olive should be completely covered in dough. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet and refridgerate for 30 minutes and then freeze for 30 minutes. When solid; remove from cookie sheet and place in plastic bags.

When ready to bake: Let thaw 1 hour. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes or until barely golden brown. Serve hot or at room temperature. Can be re-warmed in the microwave.
