Got this recipe from a church cookbook.
Children's Kiddie Oven Chocolate Cake
1 C. sugar 3 T. unsweetened cocoa 1-1/2 C. flour 1 teas. baking soda 1/2 teas. salt 1/3 C. vegetable shortening
Combine the dry ingredients. Stir until blended. Cut in the shortening. (Mixture will look like cornmeal.) Use 1/3 cup per cake. Keeps up to 12 weeks. Use one package of mix plus 4 tablespoons water. Follow oven directions.
