Last year for Easter my sister and I made these to sell at a craft sale and they are very cute. We used a recipe for M&M cookies, and used the pastel-colored Easter M&M's (light blue, lavender, pink, etc.). Just layer the dry ingredients in the mason jar. We mixed the baking soda, salt, etc., with the flour first before layering it. Try to have the M&M's in the middle of the jar, and try to alternate dark and light colored ingredients for a nice look. After placing the lid on the jar, top the jar with a circle of Easter print fabric. Tie with a piece of coordinating ribbon. You can even glue a little Easter novelty item like a bunny on top. For the instructions, just tell the recipient what wet ingredients they need to provide from the recipe (eggs, butter, vanilla, etc.) and the instructions for how to mix and bake the cookies.
