Hi ya Janet :-) Haven't seen you on the chat for a while. Hope
you will come back, I'd like to meet you there again some time.

Janet, this is not what you asked for but it's a recipe I found in
A Pickle & Chutney Cookbook by Digby Law. It's a fabulous book
published here in New Zealand, with lots of pickles, chutneys, relishes
etc. Hope it might be similar to what you want. Here goes..

"Sweet and spicy, and marvellous with cold poultry, pork or game. Or try it in cheese sandwiches or with vanilla ice-cream.

1/2 lb fresh or frozen cranberries
1 tart apple, peeled, cored and diced
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup chopped mixed peel
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

Combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan. Slowly bring to the boil, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Boil gently for about 20 minutes, or until the mixture has reached a jam consistency.

Spoon into hot, clean jars and seal.

Makes about 1 pint. "

Bye for now Janet.
Best wishes
Maryan :-)
