Granola Bars

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix:
6 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup dried chopped fruit(apricots, plums. etc.)
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup nuts
ADD:
2/3 cup honey
1/4 cup egg beaters (1 egg)
2/3 cup oil
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Press mixture into greased 10 x 15 cookie sheets. Bake for 15 minutes. Cut immediately into bars,
remove from pan when cool.

CHEWY MAPLE-OAT CLUSTERS

1 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1 cup bran flakes
1/2 cup pecan halves, cut in half
1/2 cup sunflower nuts
1/2 cup raisins
8 oz. pkg. diced dried fruit mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 cup pure maple syrup or maple flavored syrup

Heat oven to 325F.

In 13x9-inch baking pan spread rolled oats.

Bake, stirring occasionally, for 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown.

Stir in crisp rice cereal, bran flakes, pecans and sunflower nuts. Continue baking for 14 to 16 minutes or until lightly toasted. Remove from oven; stir in raisins and dried fruit.

In small bowl stir together butter and syrup; pour over cereal mixture. Stir to coat well.

Continue baking, stirring occasionally, for 45 to 50 minutes or until mixture clumps together and is golden brown. Spread on waxed paper. Cool completely; break into pieces.
