FRIED BANANAS
6 firm, but not overripe
bananas
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
dry bread crumbs
lemon juice
Peel and slice bananas in half lengthwise. Combine egg,
flour, sugar and salt. Dip bananas halves into batter; roll
in bread crumbs. Fry in shallow fat until golden brown. Drain
on paper towel. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Makes 6 to 8
servings.
