Banana Bread This makes a heavy, but moist, loaf of banana bread
3 very ripe Bonita bananas 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup shortening (butter) 2 eggs 3 Tbsp yogurt or sour cream 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 cup chopped walnuts rum, vanilla, or amaretto (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cream the shortening and sugar. Mix in the bananas. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes. |
