Here's a suggestion, not exactly lo-cal or low cholesterol, but good anyway! RAISIN CREAM BARS 1 c. brown sugar 1-3/4 c. oatmeal 1 c. butter or marg. 1 tsp. soda 1-3/4 c. flour Cream marg. & sugar. Add other ingred. Put 1/2 of mixture into 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 10 min. FILLING: Cook 1-1/2 c. raisins in small amt. of water and drain. 3 egg yolks 2 c. half n' half or 1 c. sour cream 2-1/2 T. cornstarch dash of salt 1 c. sugar Beat egg ylks and add cornstarch, sugar, salt and half n' half. Mix well. Add raisins. Heat stirring constantly until thick. Pour on crust and top with remaining crumbs. Bake 350 for 15-20 min. Tastes much like raisin pie! |
