anyway I wondered why too ... So when I made it I just did becuase it said to. now after making I can see why ... maybe...
#1 looked nice for party
#2 held onto the sugar
#3 easier to eat as finger food
and when i was Picturing this all i could see was this long flappy thing with a knot in it and the pic in my mind was dumb looking ... but in reality it looks nice, like I said I used thick slice but these kind of looked like a "bow tie " after they were made nice.
