Blackberry Pie Filling
5 cups blackberries 1/2 cup flour 1 to 1-1/4 cups sugar (depending on tartness of berries) 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon butter
Toss together all ingredients, EXCEPT butter. The butter is used to "dot" over the filling when baking a pie. This, used with the Cobbler recipe, along with vanilla ice cream on top, will make you wanna slap yo Mama! ;0)
