I tried this recipe last night and brought it to the office. Everyone loved them. You could just use all almonds if you like, but the mixture is a nice change.
Cinnamon Almonds and Pecans
1 cup of sugar 1 egg white, slightly beaten 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon of allspice 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg 3 tablespoons of water 1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 1/2 cup of unblanced almonds 2 cups of pecans
Mix the first the first eight ingredients in a bowl. Then add the nuts, coat well with mixture. Place on a greased cookie sheet, bake at 250 degrees for 45 min. or until golden brown. Stir every 15 minutes. Cool on wax paper and store in air tight container. |
