My father's name was Josef, but my mother lovingly called him Seppo. So in memory of my dad I am posting his recipe for Eggnog.
Seppo's Eggnog
beat until stiff 12 eggwhites
beat in 1/2 c sugar
beat until light (about 3 min.) 12 eggyolks add 1 c sugar and 1/4 t salt
combine all above and stir thoroughly
add 1 quart heavy whipping cream, whipped (make whipped cream before adding) 1 quart milk 1 quart brandy beat well add 1 c dark rum, stir
makes about 2 gallons but settles to 1 gallon (if you give it time). Keep in cool place at least a week to smooth out. A True and Tried Recipe.
