TURTLE BROWNIES

1 box German chocolate cake mix
2/3 cup evaporated milk, divided
1 6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 bag caramels
3/4 cup melted butter

Combine dry cake mix with 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Press half of mixture into greased 9x13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Unwrap caramels and melt with remaining 1/3 evaporated milk. Sprinkle chocolate chips over partially-baked brownie base. (You don't have to let this partially-baked brownie base cool befor adding chocolate chips.) Sprinkle on walnuts. Pour caramel mixture over top. Pat reserved cake mixture into
flat pieces with your hands. Lay randomly on top of caramel. Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes. Let cool, cut and enjoy!

Killer Turtle Brownies

14 oz. pkg. caramels
3/4 C. Butter
1 Chocolate or German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 C. chopped Pecans
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
12 oz. pkg. Chocolate Chips

Melt caramels w 1/2 can of eagle brand milk.(you can do this in the microwave). Mix melted butter, 1/2 can eagle brand, cake mix(dry) and 1/2 of the nuts together. Place 1/2 of batter in a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Spread 1 cup of chocolate chips over top, then the rest of the nuts and the caramel mixture over the nuts. Press remaining batter between hands and place over the caramel. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top and bake for 15 minutes more.
