Apple Impromptu

We enjoy this 'cobbler-like' dessert that I found on a can of Thank You apple pie filling years ago. - Betsy

Sift together:
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Mix in:
1/2 cup sugar blended with 1 tablespoon butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

Pour one can of pie filling into an 8" baking dish and cover with the topping. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.

Delicious served warm or cooled with ice cream or whipped topping.

ISO: Have two cans of apple pie filling would like to use up but don't want to make or buy a pie crust, any suggestion? Do have store bought graham cracker piecrust in cupboard. nt
