Hi Terri; I found this in the New Joys of Jello cookbook, it sounds like what you are looking for. CROWN JEWEL DESSERT 1 small pkg lime flavor jello 1 small pkg orange jello 2 small pkgs. strawberry jello 4 cups boiling water 2 cups cold water 1 3/4 cups cool whip, thawed Prepare lime,orange and one pkg. strawberry jello separately, using 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water for each. Pour each flavor into separate 8" square pans. Chill until firm, about 3 hours. Cut into 1/2" cubes. Measure 1 1/2 cups of each flavor(Use remaining cubes for snacking or to prepare rainbow in a cloud. Dissolve remaining pkg. of strawberry jello using 1 cup boiling water and 1/2 cup cold water. Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in cool whip and then measured jello cubes. Pour into a 9x5" loaf pan. Chill until firm, about 6 hours or overnight. Unmold. Garnish with additional cool whip and jello cubes if desired. The picture of this when it's sliced is really pretty. You could use other flavors of jello, and also vary the flavor and color of the jello that is used with the cool whip. Pudding in a Cloud is just cool whip put in to dessert glasses, make a depression in the center using the back of a spoon. Fill the depression with the jello cubes. |
