We had this Sunday evening and it was fantastic!
Salad: 1 sirloin steak, 1/2" - 3/4" thick (1 lb.) 8 cups torn lettuce (or prepackaged salad mixin's!) 1 cup sliced mushrooms 2 large tomatoes, cut into large chunks 1/4 cup sliced green onions
Dressing: 1/3 cup vinegar 1 envelope parmesan Italian salad dressing mix 1/3 cup olive oil 1 clove garlic, minced
Make the dressing by pouring ingredients into a cruet or medium bowl. Shake cruet vigorously (or whisk ingredients until will blended). Reserve 1/3 cup of dressing and refrigerate the rest.
Pour reserved dressing mix over steak; cover and refrigerate 1 - 2 hours. Drain and discard dressing. Grill 'til done as desired; cut into slices or large dice.
Toss salad ingredients in a large bowl. Pour over the reserved salad dressing. Arrange steak slices over salad, and it serves 4. |
